JetBlue Airways said a New York-bound flight from Haiti was struck by gunfire on the same day a Spirit Airlines plane was shot, forcing the company to temporarily halt all flights to the Caribbean

A Spirit Airlines flight diverted after being shot on approach to Haiti. A JetBlue flight was also found to have been struck by a bullet.

Spirit Airlines and JetBlue planes were apparently struck by gunshots in Haiti. The airlines, along with American, have suspended flights.
