The average height of the wall is 7.8 meters (25.6 feet), but in some locations, it can be as tall as 14 m (46 ft) in height. The total length of the Great Wall is 21,196.18 km (13,170 miles) long.
This newly found wall "is, of course, not 'the Great Wall of China,'" Gideon Shelach-Lavi, a professor of Asian Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, told Live Science in an email.
