Hyundai Motor and Kia partner with Hyundai Steel and EcoPro BM to develop lithium iron phosphate battery technology, enhancing EV performance and reducing costs.

The initiative could establish a stable domestic supply chain for LFP battery materials, enhancing supply chain security in South Korea. The companies expressed hope that this project will improve both national technological competitiveness and that of Hyundai Motor Group.
