The Los Angeles Lakers finished up their NBA Summer League slate on Friday with a 106-84 loss to the Denver Nuggets in which Bronny James and Dalton Knecht both sat out.
Bronny James did not play Friday night in the Los Angeles Lakers ' NBA Summer League game against the Denver Nuggets. James was seen on the court pregame wearing sweats. Teammate Dalton Knecht, the Lakers' first-round pick in 2024, was also out.
According to a report from Anthony Irwin of ClutchPoints, Los Angeles is interested in Golden State Warriors' free agent wing Gary Payton II. "There were some whispers connecting Gary Payton II to the Lakers even before he signed with Bill Duffy," Irwin wrote on X. "I can safely say he's very much on the Lakers' radar."
