Three Oregon men have been sentenced to federal prison after giving a 17-year-old high school student in Medford fentanyl, which caused a fatal overdose.

According to court documents, Hunter Fenstermaker, 23, Napoleon Gomez, 22, and Conner Lee Francis, 27, were identified as the first, second and third level drug suppliers for a 17-year-old Medford high school student who died after taking a counterfeit Percocet pill that contained fentanyl in 2021.

Three men will be spending a total of more than 18 years in prison for distributing fentanyl that caused the overdose death of a Medford teenager in 2021. On Thursday, 23-year-old Hunter Fenstermaker was sentenced to five years and 22-year-old Napoleon Gomez was sentenced to just over seven years.

Max Gonzalez, a 17-year-old South Medford High School student, had asked his stepbrother for some “percs,” slang for Percocet pills. His 20-year-old stepbrother, Hunter Fenstermaker, took Gonzalez with him to the home of his dealer and paid $30 for one pill.
