OpenAI Chief Technology Officer Mira Murati — who has been instrumental in the development of ChatGPT and the artificial intelligence image generator Dall-E — said Wednesday she is leaving the company.

Mira Murati officially announced her exit from OpenAI after her six-and-a-half-year stint. She initially joined the AI company in 2018 as a researcher and quickly climbed up the ladder, becoming Chief Technology Officer.
