The Milwaukee Bucks released superstar Damian Lillard and now the NBA veteran is returning to Portland on a three-year $42 million contract.

LeBron James became the only player in the NBA with a no-trade clause on Wednesday when the Phoenix Suns bought out Bradley Beal's contract.

The Celtics were one of several teams linked to Damian Lillard before the point guard elected to sign with the Blazers this week. The three-year deal worth $42 million led to a surprise reunion in Portland two years after he requested a trade out of the northwest.

The ESPN insider said Lillard had 'dozens' of offers around the NBA before signing with the Trail Blazers.
