New Jersey Devils prospect defenseman has been a hot button topic lately. On Friday, it was announced by the American Hockey League that Nemec has been named to the 2025 All-Star Classic, replacing a fellow Devils prospect.

New Jersey Devils defenseman Simon Nemec is reportedly unhappy with his limited playing time and may request a trade.

Nemec responded, "It's hard to say, it's still too early to request a trade. If this situation continues, it will need to be addressed, but for now, this is where things stand." The Slovak defenseman scored five points for the Utica Comets on Wednesday night as he continues to develop in the AHL.
