Sports isn’t unfamiliar with an intrusion from the animal kingdom. Whether it is dogs on pitches at soccer games or cats at NFL games, interruptions from our furry friends have been seen throughout the years.

Lando Norris set the pace in final practice ahead of qualifying for Sunday’s Singapore Grand Prix. But the McLaren driver was given a run for his money by a large monitor lizard who briefly brought the session to a halt.

A large lizard scampered onto the track and stopped the third and final Formula 1 practice session for the Singapore Grand Prix on Saturday. The session was briefly red-flagged after Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso reported over the radio that he'd seen the lizard in the middle of the track.
