The Civilian Office of Police Accountability is investigating after a man armed with a knife was shot and killed by Chicago police on the city's West Side.

An investigation is underway after a woman was found dead inside an apartment building on the city's Near West Side on New Year's Day. It happened just before 8 p.m. in the 1500 block of West Warren Boulevard,

Just before 8 p.m., officers responded to a call of service at the home in the 1500 block of West Warren Boulevard and found the 33-year-old woman unresponsive with trauma to her head, Chicago police said.

A death investigation is underway after a 33-year-old woman was found dead inside a home in the city’s West Loop neighborhood.

Chicago police said they responded to a call of service where the victim, identified as Kristina Romandine, 33, by the Medical Examiner's Office, was found unresponsive inside the apartment.
