Not sure why you'd get downvoted for this, it's absolutely a great pick for super hero stuff. Not the best, because the focus is more on investigation and "mystical" type superheroes, but the game is clearly a mix of detective noir and superhero tropes. EDIT: Just checked, one of the examples of crew theme is even "Masked Vigilantes".

Mar 11, 2022 · Sentinel Comics RPG is rules-lite in all the ways that count – easy to run, no complex rules for powers, streamlined mechanics for specific superhero tropes (like differentiating between minions and "real" villains so you can focus), etc. It's got a great velocity to it, and it handles those "weird" cases of superhero powers without any problem.

Feb 20, 2018 · M&M definitely isn't my 'favorite' superhero RPG, but I don't think it deserves all the flak it gets - rather, it supports a certain sort of 'simulationist' play, and it requires both the players and the GM to be on the same page about what that looks like.
What's the best superhero tabletop RPG? I'd like to start a group.
Mar 15, 2012 · First of all, have you ever played a tabletop RPG before? This advice is for people who are familiar with RPGs in general but my advice may change. Champions is a decent Superhero RPG but has a MASSIVE learning curve for building characters. There's a lot of math that goes into the game. My suggestion would be Mutants and Masterminds 2nd edition.
Best superhero rpgs with random character generation?
Feb 24, 2016 · Villains and Vigilantes is the only game with a great innate random character generator. Other games have tacked on random generators, but V&V has the best innate generator in print. (Note: Super Squadron has a nice one, but good luck finding that game.)
