Bank of Credit and Commerce International - Wikipedia
BCCI was an international bank founded in 1972 by a Pakistani financier, with assets of over US$20 billion and branches in 78 countries. It was accused of money laundering, fraud and illegal takeover of a US bank, and was forced to close in 1991 after a global regulatory investigation.
