Question regarding 10 vs 15 round | Glock Talk
Sep 30, 2020 · The differences are all internal. The pistol was designed originally for the 15 round mags. The 10 round mags didn't come until much later due to politics in the 90's. t that time Glock developed the 10 round mag to comply with those policies. And some of the less free/communist run states still mandate 10 round mags.

May 28, 2021 · It's not useless. Just use it for the range or sell it online. As scarce as Glock OEM is, you could easily get $30 to $40 for it. Range mag it is. Remembering from the Clinton ban, restricted mags were pretty tough to return to full capacity. Had a Steyr mag with the bottom quarter made of solid plastic.

The biggest advantage the G43X/G48 have over the 15 round capacity G19 is weight. The G43X/G48 weighs nearly 7 oz less than the G19. Some of that is the 5 extra rounds that the G19 carries.

Many question the need, but huge numbers of people want them, and huge numbers would be sold if they were made. My small XD has many larger mags. My small S&W has larger mags.
