On the edge of Takayna, in northwest Tasmania, is an area of forest that had a new logging road recently built so the forests can be flattened. Labelled HE012D by Forestry Tasmania, this forest is found near Hellyer Gorge, atop a steep ridge between the Arthur and Hellyer rivers. It’s a stunning forest with huge ferns, Sassafras and Myrtles.
